I'm Alex Gurkin, and I'm the founder of a SaaS project. I was born in Siberia, where the winters are so cold. Even as a child, I dreamt of becoming a doctor and having my own shiny stethoscope. But then I was introduced to the Windows 3.11 computer in 1995, and I realized that this was my destiny. With its colorful graphics and user-friendly interface, I knew that I could make a real difference in people's lives using technology. I discovered computer science in the late 1990s when I was in middle school. I was fascinated by how you could use code to create things that just seemed to come alive on the screen. I loved how technology could be used to make a real difference in people's lives. I spent hours upon hours reading online articles and books about computer science. I was hooked! And to this day, I still love learning about new technologies and ways to push the boundaries of what's possible with computers. My peers didn't really understand my interest, though. Most of them thought that computer science was all about playing games or surfing the web. They just didn't get it. But that's okay. I knew what I loved and I pursued it wholeheartedly. I was so excited when I got into medical school. It was a lot of hard work, but it was worth it. I loved learning about the human body and how to treat diseases. And I loved using technology to help doctors communicate with each other and keep track of patients' records. But it was tough. The first three years were really hard, and a lot of my classmates didn't make it through. But I kept going, because I knew that this was what I wanted to do with my life. What people didn't know, however, was that I was also taking courses in IT on the side. I had always been interested in computers, and I knew that having some knowledge of IT would be invaluable in the medical field. Plus, it never hurts to have a backup plan! So, while my classmates were studying for their anatomy exams, I was learning how to write code and test software. However, I found a way to continue learning by taking online courses in computer science and software testing. This allowed me to keep up with my studies while also working part-time. Thanks to my hard work and dedication, I was able to graduate with two degrees. It was my 6th year of medical school, and I had just started my own web development company. My first clients were medical institutions that contacted me, and I didn't need any additional advertising at the time. I was confident in my skills as a developer, and I knew that I could provide quality work. I started my own business in 2008. It was a great time to be an entrepreneur, as businesses were eager to invest in new technologies. I quickly made a name for myself as a skilled web developer, and soon began receiving requests for more complex projects. My clients included some of the biggest names in business, and I worked under strict NDAs to keep their secrets safe. I was proud of the work I did for them, and the trust they placed in me. Over the years, I created more than 300 projects for clients of all types. From small businesses to large corporations, everyone seemed happy with the work that I did. I was determined to start my own project when I moved to the United States in 2016. I started developing a free CRM system. I was working full time with my new project. It took a few years, but eventually I released the software and it quickly gained traction among users. Thousands of people are now using it and they’ve all told me how much they appreciate it. I’m really happy that my project has been so successful and it’s all thanks to the amazing community of users who have supported me along the way. I love to help people out. I'm always open to communication and I willingly respond to requests to audit software or consult for free students, but I charge a fee for commercial projects. That's because I want to be sure that everyone gets the most out of my time and expertise.
