Description
This is an early version of a turntable to be used with the Qlone app for 3D scanning. This is designed to be used with their mat size, however you can adapt it to whatever you see fit. This bearing uses marbles as the rolling elements so try to find ones that are at least similar in diameter.
Later versions will likely come out, but this is the first iteration. The bearing itself has been tested and works well, the only part that has not been tested yet is the Table Top itself. It should work without trouble but let me know if you have difficulty getting things to fit.
Concept was derived from WildRoseBuilds-Marble Lazy Susan Bearing https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2456223
I was given permission from WildRoseBuilds to use his design as a basis for this.
Materials and methods
All parts are designed with a chamfer the bottom edge to help bed removal. I would recommend using dental floss to remove the Table Top part, as it may warp when removing it if you use too much force. The chamfered edge is the only short cut edge on the part. All other parts are labeled top or bottom where the chamfers are to help removal.
Print with no supports and infill can be 20% but the snap fit can tend to be a little weak at that low of infill. PLA is fine for this application.
The mounting holes on the bearing are made for 1/4-20 bolts to pass through. If you have a CNC router, you can also cut the top to be bolted to this bearing bottom.
