Description
What you get in these files are the upper and lower part of the engine cradle bushings for the front and inner rear mounting positions (see pictures).
I´ve printed mine with Taulman 618 Nylon on an Ultimaker 2.
The most common problem using this material is warping during printing.
I get good results using the following settings for printing:
Nozzle Temperature: 230 degrees
Bed Temperature: 40 degrees
Layer thickness: 0.15 mm
print speed: 80 mm/s
shell and bottom/top thickness: 1.2 mm
cooling fan: turn off the cooling fan
use doublesided tape (e.g. for carpet installation) for better adhesion on the buildplate. This brings very good results on big big parts and prevents warping. If using doublesided tape do not heat the buildplate, because the heat will soften the glue on the tape.
I set the fill density to 70% for the lower part, you can also print the parts solid (depending on what you want, comfortable ride or sporty stiffness). For the upper part I use 50 % fill density.
I´ve replaced 3 of 4 bushings on my Cadillac and the rattle during braking is gone and the ride is comfortable. Now, under acceleration the car go straight forward and not somewhere.
If you want to use these parts on your vehicle, you do it on your own risk!!
And now, have Fun!!!
Use file "Buchse_Montagetraeger_vorne_und_hinten_innen_V2". This part is 3mm higher (to get more pressure on the bushing) and it fit better to the other part (inner diameter is smaller).
