Description
Week 3 Challenge and Constraints:
This week's challenge by Ultimaker was to create a personalized/specialized bookmark under the parameters of Tween, Evening , and the Netherlands. When I think of the Netherlands one of the first things that I think of is the plethora of tulips that are grown in the countryside. Tulips are a type of flower, which are stereotypically associated with an evening dinner. One of my favorite television shows is a Sci-Fi show called Fringe. In Fringe, Walter, one of the main characters, looks for forgiveness for his scientific experimenting and lack of abiding by normal social constraints through the presence of white tulips. The top of the bookmark also has a hole for attaching tassels or adding another form of personalized materials.
In order for the concept to be functional and fit in a book the product was made to be thin (1/16"). This product will be delicate if it is printed without compensating for fragility.
