The celtic knot image came from: http://www.clanbadge.com/images/round_celtic_knot_1.jpg
I made this design by first using Inkscape. I imported the celtic knot image into Inkscape and Traced the bitmap. I then exported the image as an .SVG file so I could import it into Blender. Using Blender, I impored the .STL of the candle holder from Thingiverse and the .SVG of the celtc knot. I extruded the celtic knot to make it 3D and I scaled it up to a size relative to the candle holder. I then combined the candle holder and the celtic knot in a design that I liked and formed them into one single object.
