Description
Viking inspired corner molding piece with background weave and snake patturn
I found two through google
Snake: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/f3/5a/71/f35a718865c2eccca09b7dd1abe978c8.jpg
Weave: https://phillipshakesbymasters.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/viking_carvings.jpg
Converted them to a 2D sketch using Inkscape
Used FreeCAD to extrude the 2D drawings to a 3D object, made the mitered cuts on the "Weave" pieces and saved them as STLs
Made the base trim piece using OpenSCAD, made two separate files for each one for their unique 45 degree cuts, and exported as STLs.
I then merged the three separate STLs into one file on FreeCAD and exported as one STL per side.
Materials and methods
1.75 mm Transparent Gray PLA made by Hatchbox
Made the model using Inkscape FreeCAD and openSCAD, exported an STLs, combined in FreeCAD and used Cura to write the gcode
