Description

The challenge was to create a personalized bookmark for a special person or special book. The rules required the inclusion of the parameters of tween, evening, and the Netherlands.

Our solution was to create a bookmark for blind kids, written in Dutch Braille. It shows two popular constellations, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. This project incorporates tweens by being focused on kids It incorporates evening by using the theme of constellations, inscribed as raised dots on the paper for visually impaired people to easier interpret. Finally, it includes the Netherlands by utilizing Braille written in Dutch.

Materials and methods

We used a paper sketch and a design website called Blockscad.
