Description
This is a case to enclose a standard 22mm Emergency Stop Button. It also includes a second 22mm hole for a LED Indicator so you can know when the power is ON or OFF. The Case Body and the Base have both already some breakable hollows for 8mm or 16mm tubes or cables.
I provide STL files that are high enough to install either a cheap chinese emergency stop button or an expensive Schneider Electric one. The design is however a bit parametric if you need to install a higher button. To adjust the dimensions, open the FCSTD file with FreeCAD, then the 'Dimensions' spreadsheet in the tree view. You can have both the design and the dimensions sheet side by side by clicking on the 'Windows' menu then 'Tile'. Once you are satisfied with your settings, export the new parts in STL. When some parameters combinations are impossible, FreeCAD will either ignore your choice or just crash.
This is an open-source design. FreeCAD file is provided.
Feel free to modify this thing at your convenience.
Good design is hard work, even small donations are welcome.
Materials and methods
It is highly preferable to print the Case Body bottom up as shown on the purple and yellow image so you won't need any extra support.
