Description

This modified gauntlet allows for someone with no limb difference to experience using a 3D printed prosthetic hand. The "Demo Bar" that works with the original hand makes using the hand in a realistic manner difficult. We designed this so that there is nothing in the way of the hand grip, making the use experience more realistic.

This is the only modified part you need to make this work other than all of the standard Phoenix V2 hand parts. Print the Demo Bar to act as a grib for actuating the hand. You do not need to print the original thermoform gauntlet as this replaces that piece. This will fit a Phoenix V2 hand printed at 130% scale. Find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1453190

Materials and methods

Print in PLA. Fast print settings work fine. Will just fit on an ultimaker 2 print bed. Follow the Enable video instructions for thermoforming the hinge and gauntlet.
