However, the design isn't optimal- if the Z axis continues to lift the bed beyond the Z=0 position (controller or switch problem), it will jam the cam/lever hard against the switch. Good limit switch design allows the mechanism to "pass by" without damaging anything.

I am working on an optical version of this switch that should eliminate the problem.
