Description

This small and easy to print on a 3D printer part is for use in tying up fish hooks. Similar products online retail for 10 to 15 dollars. Instead of spending that money on an online retailer, the part can be printed in 15 minutes. A small tool like this could be very useful as an Open Source Acceptable Technology. In parts of the world that rely on fishing as a food source and income source, an item like this could be too expensive to purchase. This tool is cheap and can be printed in 15 minutes.

Materials and methods

The model was drawn up in FreeCAD and converted to a .stl format. I used a Cura slicr to create the g-code and the print was made on a reprap2 3D printer.
