Description
The ‘Flowing Lampshade’ is the first of three in the ‘Dynamic Twist’ collection. This collection focused on showing the abilities of 3D printing to print complexed forms with overhangs to create dynamic forms that could not have been created with any traditional mass manufacture method in one piece.
This product has been designed for an E27 lamp-holder [40mm Diameter] if you can't find one of those let us know and we can supply you with an adapter plate/alter the design.
We printed this design with pearl White PLA [Ultimaker].
We have tested this product for two months with a 13W light bulb and there has been no deformation of the PLA. If you use PLA we wouldn't recommend going much higher than this because of the mostly enclosed design.
To print this design we used an Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer and the print in the photos is printed with a 0.6 mm nozzle [you can also use 0.25mm, 0.4mm +0.8mm].
We would love to see your prints!

Notes: This design is suitable for printing in vase mode which will considerably reduce printing times [Less than 5hrs] and material usage [86g], we prefer printing it thicker for improved light dispersion and strength.
We like the fuzzy skin setting because of the way it adds texture and disperses light. It isn't essential to printing though so choose what suits you!
