Description

This tool can be utilized for the loosening of tight fitting gas caps on automobiles. The intended user will have limited strength and/or dexterity in their hands/fingers. Thus, this tool is more applicable to people with a severe arthritic condition or are handicapped in some manner.

The product was designed in OpenSCAD and is parametric in that the width of the three modeled channels can be adjusted based upon the design constraints of the drivers vehicle. The handle uses a dovetail joint for assembly to the gear. Credit for the dovetail OpenSCAD belongs to Jag (thing:10269).

Lastly, the handle's .scad and .stl contain a brim to help with bed adhesion. This is intended to be removed prior to installation and use.
