This project is a work in progress. The original model was used from the Yeggi Halo Energy Sword project: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/halo-energy-sword-3117. All the individual parts were reassembled in blender, then hollowed out and re cut into new parts. The LEDs were assembled and soldered together in a chain. The sheet packing foam was cut to fit the interior of each sword piece, holding the LEDs in place and defusing the light. The audio is controlled by the Adafruit ProTrinkit taking input from a 3 axis accelerometer. When the ProTrinkit sees a change in acceleration, it triggers the sound board to either play a swing or clash sound depending on the magnitude of the change. The LEDs are also controlled by the Pro Trinkit through a simple npn transistor which connects the LEDs to ground when triggered. The device is turned on with a momentary push button. the speaker is powered with a 2.5W amp and is hidden inside the LHCAP and RHCAP hilt parts.
Currently the code works. However, it still needs to be refined. Also all of the sword parts are currently best printed standing up. But this causes the layers to crack if the sword is hit hard from the side. To get around this, the sword parts are currently being re-cut in order to allow for a different print orientation. meaning the layers will go with the length of the sword rather than against it.
