Description

This works by having different inserts for different door handle types. The main bracket is made from pla, petg…. The adapter inserts are made from semiflexible material. I used Ninja Cheetah filament. The inserts are designed to give a good grip on the handle. I have made the bracket as stiff as possible. The design requires M5 standard allen bolts and screws, length about 20 mm. The bolt heads are recessed and the nuts are captive. This makes installation quick and easy. If necessary it would be easy to make other adapters if the ones I have supplied don't fit your particular requirements. I have made a V2 with the adapter slightly beefed up.

Materials and methods

For the bracket I use PETG at the moment I am using fillamentatums modified PETG (CPE). It may work with PLA. I use 0.4 nozzle with 3 perimeters and 3 layers top and bottom and 50% infill.

The handle adapter is printed on the side.
The support bracket, I print with the axes parallel to the plate, ie not on it's side.
Both parts have supports.
The seal adapters are printed in TPU with 3 perimeters, 3 top and bottom layers and 50% infill.
When installing only tighten the bolts sufficiently to secure the assembly, it is useful to recheck the security after some time and tighten the bolts further if necessary.
