Description

Herbs go in the top, Spin the bulb handle on the side, and the typhoon grinding action will leave a pile of fluffy herbs beneath in the catch tray. Grinder pulls out of base easily for portability.

Based on an idea I saw by Betathings / Opulence Mechanics Cyclonic Grinder a while back.

The (5.95mm) bearing balls are a standard BB size. The rendering has a typo and will be updated shortly.

Materials and methods

I would suggest printing the Handle bulb with as little infill as possible, to reduce the weight offset on the side when using solo. Heavy infill on the other parts can make these parts feel much nicer in the hand, and be more durable in use.

This grinder requires no supports as all supports are integral to the parts, with a 0.25mm layer gap vertical between supported surfaces. The supports are separate meshes so you can split the mesh to sub parts and remove the integral supports if you wish.

M3 x 16mm SHCS - 16x
M3 Nut - 5x
5.95mm BBs - 9x

I was wondering if you know which size ball bearing you will need. The 7.9mm or the 5.95mm?? Just want to make sure i source out the correct stuff.
