Description
Couple of months ago we have moved to a new home when the fridge is almost the center of the kitchen. I wanted to mount my old 1st gen iPad mini on the fridge door so I made a magnetic mount for it.
I also plugged a long Lightning cable to the small iPad and to align this wire properly I made some new tiny magnetic cable guiding toys :)
Update #20170327: I made a horizontal version for the bare iPad mini on user request. I did not print that STL file but I also uploaded the parametric Fusion 360 design so all you need to do is to change the parametric dimensions accordingly if you would use the tablet with a case or even if you prefer a different magnet.
Materials and methods
I used two types of magnets:
- 3 pcs 32x3 mm neodym magnets for the iPad mount
- 1 pc 8x4 mm neodym magnet for each cable guide
