Description

LiPo batteries don't like to be abused, if they are they may bite back and catch fire. To ensure that my quads battery was going to stay where it was meant to, and to offer it some protection in case of a crash, I designed this case.

It fits a Turnigy 5000mAh battery (169 x 48 x 25mm), has a gap for the batteries wires to come out from on one sides cage. The other sides cage is open to allow the battery to slide in and is then secured using the lower clamp and nyloc nuts.

I had to use epoxy resin glue to secure the bolts into place (not pretty but it works). Using nyloc nuts means they should undo while in flight, which would possibly be a very bad thing!

Materials and methods
