Description
I designed a lock for a side bed for babys. One side of this bed are still open. So that the baby cannot come out unintentionally, I have built an additional crossbar with a lock. The diameter of the crossbar is 25 mm. The part on the frame is fixed with three wood screws.
The ring must be pressed slightly tighter over the connecting piece of the crossbar during the first assembly, as the nose for the self-holding function must first engage. To print the other side, you have to mirror the parts.
Securing is achieved axially and radially by pushing and twisting the ring
Materials and methods
The lock is printed with the following settings:
- brown filament with PLA; 2,85 mm diameter
- nozzle with 0,4 mm diameter
- layer thickness of 0,1 mm
- Number of wall lines: 2
- 50 % filling
additional material:
- 6 woodscrews
- crossbar with 25 mm diameter
