Description
This is a sturdy, simple-to-install, single piece direct drive conversion bracket for the Ultimaker. It mounts to the UM without any modification to the frame. Reduces backlash, simplifies maintainence, puts the motors in a place that is easier to keep cool.
**Instructions:**
- Loosely mount this to the frame, install the rods and couplers, and then mount the motors. - Tighten everything up after confirming that alignments are good. - Build a new firmware using [Ginge's Marlin Builder](http://marlinbuilder.robotfuzz.com/) and uncheck "Invert Axis: X". - Flash this new firmware using Cura
***Note*** - *Also worth mentioning... a direct drive conversion does make the machine slightly louder.*
