Description

I wanted to see if I could figure out a mathematical function that would yield a tree shape. The scad that I got is by eye; no doubt someone smarter could figure out some coefficients and turn this into a single iterative function.

Prints best in some kind of PET using spiral vase.

I added a cylinder so there would be something to hang the tree with; it only works at a limited range of sizes. If you are a G-code editing whiz you could probably add something like

G92 Z0 E0

G91 Z25 E20

to the right place at the end of your print to move the hotend straight up while extruding a little string of filament.

Materials and methods

- T-glase or PETG
- large nozzle (0.75mm used)
