I needed something to hold a photo umbrella and a hotshoe flash. I only had constant ligt equipment. So I desiged one that is interchangable with the parts I already have.

Description

Umbrella Stamp
is an optional part and a bit fiddly.
It maked sure that the M4 bolt doesn't deform your umbrella as cheap umbrella-holders without such a stamp do.
When not in use, screw the M4 bolt all the way in. This way the Umbrella Stamp doesn't fall out.

The M5 nut(s) goes into the inside of the base part and are held in place by their respective M5 nuts.
1 should be enough but you can use 2.

Materials and methods

M4x16 bolt for the umbrella.

M6x30 bolt and M6 nut for the hinge

1 or 2 M5x20 bolts and M5 nuts for the light stand spigot clamping.

Use hex-headed bolts if you want to attach a 3d printed thumb-wheel. (There are serveral designs out there.)
Otherwise a Phillips #1 head (cross) or allen key works well.
