Description
My 2007 Prius developed the common rotten rubber covering on the hatch release which made it all but impossible to open the hatch, especially in cold weather. I tore the thing apart, made a model of it, then designed and printed a TPU cover to fit. It works fine, though it doesn't seal water tight, so it's probably best to add some gasket sealer around the edges. I'll do that when the weather warms up.
Not sure how the TPU will hold up when exposed to UV and weather...
Materials and methods
I printed with Alchement fluorescent green TPU, 0.25 mm layers, 20% infill.
