Description

The Skyblade frame is designed for strength and printability (especially for the Printrbot Simple Metal) from the start. I've built upon other designs which I have seen on Thingiverse to to create a base for an easy to build and fly drone. This frame can be completely assembled with zip ties, (I know you're thinking that's not very sturdy) but it feels very stiff and and I have had no structural integrity issues.

There is enough clearance between each of the arms for 10" blades. I am using 10" and it feels very responsive and stable, but it also has a lot of power for some fun as well!

It is very quiet with the components I use, I believe this is due to the Sunnysky motors. I have had no speed controller oscillation issues which many people complain about, but the Afro 30A ESCs seem to be very good.

It has mounting holes for:

-CC3D Flight Controller

-Hobbyking Actioncam Gimbal

-Hobbyking Bullet Connector Power Distribution Board

-SunnySky X2212 KV980 II Motors

I used 25% in PLA and it works quite well if each arm is taking about 700g of thrust!
