I wanted a spool holder that was not mounted on the printer, so I went for a roller design. I looked at some existing designs but all had big bolts in it which I did not really like, so as design excersice I made this spool roller (my first real thing).
It is designed to work with my current spool with outer diameter of about 20.5 cm and the usual skateboard bearings. The part is designed so you can print it 4 times and combine them into 2 mounts.
I tried to make the parts snap together but could not get that working properly. So just glue the parts together. Make sure to _NOT_ apply too much glue!
For printing lay it down flat on the bed with the pins pointing up.
FreeCAD file is also included.
