This project, created by Pioneer Brad Whitehead, helps students to understand tolerance and fit. The cylinder is 20 mm and each hole increases in size by .1 mm. Fitting the cylinder in each hole will demonstrate 'clearance fit', 'transition fit', and 'interference fit'. The manipulative will help students to design hole features in subsequent projects.
