Description

All of the parts are orientated ready for slicing.
No support material is needed for any of the parts except for the rear flange, although I did just manage to print this without. See the model in action here

Materials and methods

I used PLA for the main parts and flexible filament for the tyres, all printed at 0.2mm layer height.

I had printed the model, as soon I have some pictures I will post. I think the model is prepared to use a roof but it is mising. Is it possible to get the stl's for it?

well for anyone that cant print boiler bands use the front wheel rim file reduce it in cura to 62.5% and stop the print at 80 % complete

ok but I can't understand why you have this problem while the boiler

band .stl file looks fine.

I got round it I used wheel rim file resized it and stopped the print at 80% so it looks about right

I have printed every thing just fine, except the boiler bands they only print as a circle of dots. I have tried using the file here and the zip file but getting the same thing, can you please check your copy of the file to see if it works, and maybe email me that file, as with out that rings that im printing in gold will let the model down

Hi Paul,

Ron was lucky to find his driver on eBay. After many time searching I

get a "play mobil" driver. Here in France we have many play mobil

collectors so it's easy to find. I don't know about your country. I'll

be pleased to see your work when finished.

im making the engine at the moment BUT I will have no one to drive it as there is not a print for driver fred ..... where did he come from as he looks to scale

Sorry for the delay in responding but I have been very busy designing new stuff.

Try these screws from eBay UK or maybe there's an equivalent on eBay fr.

You can probably get away with 0.5mm sorter but not 0.5mm longer screws.

Hi Ron, I love this design and I hope make one very soon. But ther is a little problem: here in France, I can't find M2 x 9.5mm or 6.5mm Self Tapping Screws. We can buy only M2 x 6 or 10mm. My friend Google don't say better. Please let me know if ther is a place to buy the screws you use or if the +/- .5mm is not a problem. Many thanks for your reply.
