Description
This design is heavily inspired by Martin Bienzs design (https://www.youmagine.com/designs/loose-filament-holder-v3).
Requirements of this design
1. Allows Faberdashery loose filament to be held securely
2. Moves the holder far enough out it does not foul on the Bowden tube or cables
3. Does not require the UM2 being raised to accomodate the holder.
I use the IRobertI's low friction spool holder (https://www.youmagine.com/designs/low-friction-um2-spoolholder), but it has been sized to also work on the original UM2 holder.
This will also require my filament guide to ensure it remains snag free for long runs. (https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker-2-filament-guide)
Materials and methods
No hardward other than the prints required.
Print:
1 x Inner (Orientated with the outer stantions at the bottom touching the buildplate)
4 x Arms (Orientated with the larger surface touching the build plate for no overhangs)
1 x Cap (V2 is shown, V3 has added chamfers, orientate with the chamfers on top, giving minimal overhangs)
