Ultimaker Original printhead bearing stoppers

The bearings on the printhead sometimes slide out of place. This results in a tilted printhead and thus destroying your print. These 4 plates can be put on each side using the original screw preventing the bearings to slide out.

On my ultimaker original the linear bearings on the printhead tend to slide out of the wooden part. This results in a tilt of the printhead. I decided to make these plates to stop the bearings from sliding out, and after installing I haven't had any issue anymore.

Parts are drawn in Autocad inventor and converted to STL. The only required post-print work is the drilling of the holes. Or better said, widening of the holes.

Materials and methods

Any type of hard plastic. I have used XT polymer and PLA/HPA withouth any problem.

Total weight is about 10 grams
