Description
I wanted to use 8mm rods only for my UM2Go build so I took 1255-B2P-A (optimized for injection) part as a start and make 3d printed version.
It uses 11mm outer diameter bronze bushings.
belt length for UM2Go is 460mm. Leave 2 teeth outside of the locking loop.

I put belt loop before putting XY rods into bearings and then stretching the belt using rods. For some reason it works.
Erik de Bruijn commented agoLooks like this could be useful for people with Ultimaker 3s if they somehow find the need to replace this part or use an open belt.
Quite an elegant design, meshing the belt onto itself. It does make the tightness a bit coarse, but I guess someone can use it in conjunction with one of the other springy tensioners available on YouMagine.
