No, your spool should only rest on the triangular shaped part. The semi-circle is just a spacer is the so the spool doesn't interfere with the Y arm when it gets to the top.

Bonesteel, <div><br></div><div>If you need a support for a wider spool, just increase the scale of the holder length-wise.</div><div><br></div><div>For example, I also wanted a spool holder to go on the left of the handle so I just mirrored the part and scaled it to a longer length so the spool cleared the Y-axis stepper motor&nbsp;(I use a scale multiplier of -1.3 on the length-wise axis in Repetier). By the same token it produced a longer spool holder able to carry 105mm wide spools.</div><div><br></div><div>Mike</div>
