Takei, just to elaborate, the quick change is used in the middle of a print now, while paused at z you change filament, and resume printing. As far as optimized pathway, the only thing youd need to do is to release tension on the bearing. the pathway would remain the same. You don't need a hinged design (which seems to be a little flimsy) if you could disengage the tension on that bearing using other methods. Anyways, just a thought, maybe I'll work on it some.

I just noticed there are 2 sets of main-body halves where the filament channel is slightly offset. Is this part of the v3.1.1 revision? When was this revision posted? I believe I downloaded this model 90 days ago +/- . I've got some killer filament in from Zeni Kenetic that prints super nice and thought it's about time to print a new one, but I want to make sure I print the correct version. Just loaded everything from the zip into Cura and there are in fact 2 sets, a 3.1.1 and a 3.1.1 mk8 ? I'm using this feeder now, and I must say, it works very well. I've tried them all and this one seems to be pretty rock solid, and I print 24/7 every day of the year basically. I just took it apart for the first time in about 2000 hours printing, and it's still very nice on the inside. filament rubbing at the entrance hole has rubbed an oval shape into it, but other than that, it's holding up good, and more importantly, filament extruding problems are a thing of the past. One thing I would love to see is this rock-solid design in a configuration that allows for quick material change so I can do more things with the new firmware (pause at z) for the UM2

I didn't have any problem with it exporting it straight from Inventor to Cura. I see some things that are overhang and thin wall problems that I will address later though. Thanks

Well said EldRick I'm a community leader on GrabCad. I've posted the file there.
