I Wanted an extra monitor to hook up to my laptop. So the empire of dirt provided two suitable monitors, one smallish (4:3) with an excellent stand and a bigger one (widescreen) with an absolute monster of a stand. So mashup time! Combined the to with a printed "adapter", I now have a decent monitor with a good stand. Just attach the adapter with the screws and slide it onto the new stand. I realize the probability of another person having the same need is minimal but anyway.. The monitor used is a HP w19 and the stand is from a Dell 1707fpt. The whole operation is fully reversible with no damage to either parts.
