Description

Whether you want to store your bolt with more protection or want to unload the pressure on the firing pin spring, this could be for you.

The bolt is slit into the protector as normal, then turned down. This de-cocks the firing pin removing pressure on the spring. In this configuration the bolt is not removable and will stay in place. To remove the bolt, raise the handle (which cocks the pin) and slide out.

Featured bolt is from a 10FCP-K.

Two versions available, one with an end cap and one without.

Materials and methods

- ABS (or Nylon) with wall of 2-3mm depending on bolt spring tension
- use 0.6-0.8mm nozzle, with layer height of 0.15 for best results, no brim needed (on an Ultimaker 2+)

DO NOT PRINT SUPPORT INSIDE, only print support at top.

Can be printed in PLA, though would be more prone to cracking (or not).
