The aim of this assignment is for you to critically examine professional learning activities in the context of your sport. Having completed assignment 1, we hope you are now in a position to analyse learning from a knowledge base grounded in contemporary literature. For that reason, we suggest that you might want to focus your reflective writing on learning experiences. For example, observing the learning experiences of a colleague as they engage in CPD; reflecting on your experiences of participating in professional development activities/workshops; examining your role as coach educator/mentor; examining the learning assumptions behind a professional development strategy as implemented by your sports organisation. This is certainly not an exhaustive list, but will hopefully engage some ideas. To begin this process, it might be useful to consider the following: What to reflect upon you might even reflect on multiple moments (e.g. workshops) Which learning model/theory underpins your reflections (e.g. communities of practice; constructivism) Consider structuring your writing around a reflective model (e.g. Gibbs) This assignment is YOUR reflection, so it is appropriate to write in 1st person.
