Description

This adapter allows mounting the Bondtech QR feeder on any Ultimaker 2-series, while offsetting the feeder to the left of the printer.
This allows feeding from a spool-holder on the left side of the machine, as well as the standard spool-holder.
Feeding from the left makes it easier to insert filament, and allows easy visual monitoring of feeding during a print. The natural curl of the filament runs in the about same direction as the Bowden tube, reducing friction.

Materials and methods

You will need two additional 10mm screws and nuts to mount the Bondtech feeder on this adapter.

Excellent idea! Question. Where can I get hold of this side spool holder? It looks very usefull for me since I cannot operate my machine from behind. Having the spool to the left mounted on the machine would be perfect for me!
