- Printed on:
- Wanhao Duplicator i3
- Sliced with Slic3r and printed at .1mm resolution, hollow with 3 perimeters, (solid legs for strength set by about 8mm squared minimum hollow layer) My niece wanted him in blue, but still with a white helmet, so go figure, even though she knows the one on tv is usually white. The lego style base almost fits other bricks, i just had to shave it a little with a pocket knife. The head/helmet always fell off the ball joint head so I glued it on. It did hold on when printed laying on it's back (xy lines strengthened the gripper tabs then) but then the layering did not look right on the outside.
- A version with the helmet merged and a nice looking neck would be nice. Or one with a 3d printable in place non removable ball joint for rotation and flexing of the neck would be even better.
