Description
This is a untested prototype.
I Found a handful of neat frames for this copter online. Had the
idea to print them using Taulman 910 Alloy, which is really durable.
Designs I printed seemed to lack rigidity.
Design goals were to increase rigidity and trim some weight.
Printed with Taulman 910 Alloy, 40% infill, tweaked solid infill
threshold to 125mm^2, so arms are nearly entirely solid. Frame weighs
in ~14 grams. Failed on the latter part of goal. Might have fallen
victim to eye-candy over utility design principles. However, frame is
extremely rigid.
Integrated notches on bottom of frame to utilize attaching battery
with bracelet loom bands. An idea borrowed from "Micro quad v1
remix for Hubsan X4" by mouserunner.
Rotary slot pattern should accommodate Hubsan FC, as frame design
is symmetrical, FC can be mounted facing either axis. Slot
standoffs on top are meant as support material while bridging and
designed to be trimmed off.
