Description

This is an custom mount for an old Microsoft LifeCam VX-500. It should also be compatible with the VX-700.

Its goal is to mount that camera to a custom mount for the Ender 5 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3809015), designed by Dwiekawki (https://www.thingiverse.com/dwiekawki).

It can be mounted on the webcam with the following steps (see images for more help):

  1. Remove the only screw of the clamp
  2. Push the two pins out of their slots
  3. Completely remove the two pins
  4. Separate the two parts
  5. Remove the rubbers fits from the clamp
  6. Fit them on the printed adapter
  7. Push back the pins (be careful: they are not exactly round, the holes on the pins should be 180° to the camera)
  8. Screw back the cover

Materials and methods

Printed on a Creality Ender 5 with PETG @ 240°C/90°C. PLA should be fine though.
