Description

Photogrammetric model of an opossum (/Didelphis/) skull from my personal collection. Had a bit of trouble with the initial scan that lead to poor quality modelling of the teeth. This is the second scan which gave me better resolution of on the teeth but there are a few noisy spots here and there, especially around the right condyle of the jaw.

To print this skull, I’d cut each element into several pieces, and place them on the build plate in orientations designed to minimize the amount of necessary support. I’m presenting them as they are so that you will have the greatest amount of freedom using them in ways that fit your needs.

Materials and methods

Photographed with a improvised low-cost photogrammetry rig. Models built in Agisoft Photoscan, edited in Meshlab.
