Description

This is in no way a finished product you can print and just throw together. You need to decide how to print it, which parts to use and maybe do some redesigning to make it like you want. Also you need to figure out how you want to assemble it. I also recommend checking all dimensions before printing. I was asked to upload it so I did, even tho its like this.

I myself printed both spool parts, knob, stopper handling thingy and the “Primary reel guide no holes” and “Primary reel handle without holes for guide” together as an assembly. Then I made the long guide hole later. Maybe not the smartest way, but its up to you. Also add fillets as you wish.

Maybe you can think this as the base design to make your own.

Also included a stopper/handling thingy for easier handling with thick gloves.

Why I did it this way, was that when I printed it I haven't ever used a printer myself and a friend was using one and I asked if we could print something together and he asked me would the design be ready the next day. If Ill ever print more, Ill figure a better way.

I havent really measured the size of the rod, but it tightly slides in the hole on the spool center. With mine I just printed these things and went to a hardware shop for ideas how to fix it together. Not the smartest way. There is a butterfly nut on the other end holding the spool in place and to hold it in place or allow it to spin. I still need to do some kind of stopper to keep it on the axis so I dont lose it underwater.

Hey sorry for the long due reply. You could modify the end on the handle to take a locknut where you could attach the threaded rod. I think that might be the best option. In mine, in the handle there is this part which name I dont know, but its like a spacer that has a flathead on the handles side and inside the spacer there is threads. Sorry I dont know the technical name so I cant even find a pic, but it a bit like this but there is a flathead slot in the larder end.

And then there is a nut on the other side side squeezing it together.

I hope you understand.

But yea, like I wrote, its not a ready product or anything, it requires you to make some modifications and think :)
