Print:
For filament prints, make sure you do not print skirt as it may obstruct the led pins holes and affect radius of led lense holes.
Printing the LED grid part with white material may increase luminisity.
LEDs:
You need 300 LEDS for this flash verssion. White LEDs can be purchased online, make sure you choose white light LEDs 5mm lense diameter. See led detail in pictures gallery.
I chose to connect the LEDs in parallel to prevent from the all device shunting-down if one led fail. But serial connect shall work as well.

Comments

- Printed on:
- Ultimaker Original+
- Result:
- Works fine with black PLA
- Feedback:
- The three parts prints quite well on Ultimaker Original+ with "fast print" settings. I used Black PLA filament, which is strong enough. However, it is necesary to remove skirt from the print settings to prevent LEDs conector pins to be obstructed. The LED grid may need a bit of sanding to fit smoothly on the LEDs lense. If I were printing this again, I would use white ore nature PLA filament for the LED grid, it would probably reflect the LED light better. But 300 LEDs is bright enough though.
