Description
I found a cheap but awesome Bluetooth receiver with APTX Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities and with a dead simple but gorgeous controller - it's ~22 EUR now om amazon: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00S7I1BYQ/ref=pe_386171_51767411_TE_M3T1_dp_1
I tried to find a proper placement for it in my car when I realised the useless coin holder in the centre console would properly hold it.
I redesigned my coin holder from scratch to hold the Bluetooth receiver properly. There are 3 STL files:
- BT controller holder.stl is the new coin holder itself
- wire fixer.stl is the simple plug which drives the controller cable and hides the cabling hole
- drill mask.stl is a simple cutout from the coin holder. The BT controller comes with a magnetic mount support. You have to remove this and have to drill a hole to the bottom part of the controller enclosure. In order to help the proper hole positioning I made this simple mask so just push the bottom part of the enclosure into it and drill it though with an 3 mm drill using the mask's guide hole.
Here's a blogpost about the design process (sorry folks, Hungarian only): http://fns.csokolade.hu/2015/06/27/3d-nyomtatas-taotronics-bluetooth-vevot-minden-2009-es-subaru-leg...
