Description
I have been using 1kg spools and created this spool holder to better align the spool with the feeder. It brings the spool closer to the printer body and also moves it further away from the feeder itself to prevent any potential rubbing on the hot end cables. The spool now sits much better in relation to the feeder and gives the filament a much straighter trajectory.
Materials and methods
some supports will be required in the end connecting into the printer. Setting the 'Support Overhang Angle' in Cura to 80deg creates the required supports.
