Description

Here's an alternative fan mount design that I came up with to solve a few issues that I had with existing ones on this site.

Parts have been designed to be 0.3mm larger. This should be taken taken into account when printing.

Kapton insulation is REQUIRED or else your mount WILL MELT! See link below.

Any plan on creating a dual nozzle model? I took the model and basically just mirroed one side to make room for 2 nozzles, but I'm unsure as to the license agreements here on youmagine - on Thingiverse you can just click on a "Remix" botton and your good to go.

Since this fan shroud extends further to the front, do you have any problems with collisions when printing at the extreme front edge of the print area?

Result:: Excellent
Feedback:: Technically I did not actually print this model but I had it printed for me by a 3D Hub. Even with Klapton tape I find my ABS version would warp. Resin still needed some tape but has much higher temperature tolerance. Also makes for a pretty print!
