Description
This is a simple stand for an external tank that I use for my Kolibri Turbine RC airplanes. The tank is attached to the spillover line to avoid any spillovers while fueling and to provide external fuel for turbine start-up and full throttle test so the main tank remains 100% full until the external tank is taken away last thing before take off. The stand just provide a nice way to keep the external tank in a stable position.
Materials and methods
This design required:
- A standard Dubro 8oz tank
- 2 rubber bands to hold the tank
- Optional: 4 glue-on feet
- Optional: 2 foam-rubber strips to put between the tank and the stand (black parts between tank and stand in the pictures). Helps to keep the tank in place.
