Description

The default knob can only be turned by pushing a finger slightly against it - but push too hard and you click by accident. This new knob is much less annoying to use - I promise.

The knob is easy to make - no support or finishing work required. To remove the original knob, I glued something to it and then pulled it straight out (but don't blame me if something breaks).

Settings:
- shell thickness 0.8 mm (using a nozzle of 0.4 mm), that way the part will be built mostly of "shell" and very little infill
- 0.8 mm bottom / top thickness
- layer height 0.1 mm
- no support

Materials and methods

- Any material with a little bit of flex (PLA and ABS both work well)

I added a few "wrinkles" to the knob so that it does not slip when grabbing. Thank you for uploading the SLDPRT for easy modification. Not sure how to upload a remix of it yet.

Further I wanted to note, that you do not need to glue something on the knob to get it out. Just take the hex key and push it out from the back (there is a little hole).

Feedback:: Much more convenient than the original button but this is a little too wide and rubs over the edge. This is not annoying but you hear a rubbing noise.

Feedback:: I don't know if this is common to every UM2, but in my device there is a small hole in the back of the housing of the old knob so you can easily drag/push the old knob out with a screwdriver. There's no need to glue something on it and pull...
